SECOND PARTY AUDITS/SUPPLIER AUDITS

Second-party audits are external audits performed on a supplier by a customer or by a contracted organization- Like PAL Continental on behalf of a customer. A contract is in place, and the goods or services are being, or will be, delivered. Second-party audits are subject to certain rules, as they provide contractual direction from the customer to the supplier. Second-party audits are important because audit results could influence the customer’s purchasing decisions. At PAL Continental, we conduct second party audits for our clients and ensure they are buying from suppliers who meet strict criteria

THIRD PARTY AUDITS- CERTIFICATION AUDITS

At PAL Continental, we have experienced Lead Auditors who are independent contractors with various certifying bodies. Third-party audits are performed by an audit organization independent of the customer-supplier relationship and is free of any conflict of interest. Independence of the audit organization is a key component of a third-party audit. Third-party audits may result in certification, registration, recognition, an award, license approval, a citation, a fine, or a penalty issued by the third-party organization or an interested party.

HANDS ON PRACTICAL INTERNAL AUDITS

Internal audits or first party audits are performed within an organization to measure its strengths and weaknesses against its own procedures or methods and/or against external standards adopted by (voluntary) or imposed on (mandatory) the organization. First-party audit are internal audits conducted by auditors who are employed by the organization being audited but who have no vested interest in the audit results of the area being audited. They can also be done by external parties and at PAL Continental we have partnered with different organizations to conduct these audits. We also coach site internal auditors to help audits become more effective and support the development of a risk based internal audit programme and schedule

GAP ASSESSMENTS

PAL Continental collaborates with organizations and conduct gap assessment against 2nd or 3rd party requirements when standards are updated or when the organisation is preparing for external certification and also when top management is interested to know the strength and level of systems implementation. A Gap Assessment focuses on an internal audit activity’s current level of conformance with a given Standard, and then offers recommendations for remediation of identified gaps. It is ideally a form of consultative service designed to identify where an organization has gaps in its conformance to the Standards, legal requirements or its own procedures and methods.

PRE-CERTIFICATION AUDITS

Pre-certification audits are meant to gauge a company’s readiness for external certification audits. At PAL continental, we conduct these documented audits and offer out expert opinion on the level of compliance to the requirements of the certification scheme that the organisation seek to get certification. We manage non-conformances to satisfactory close out with the process owners. We also provide summary reports for the senior management team’s management review, detailing non-conformities, corrective actions taken and root cause analysis.
